WHAT’S THERE TO DO TONIGHT?

Shoes- black stiletto & glass                                               STEPPING OUT FLORIDA!

                                                         THURSDAY,  APRIL 1

WE CONTINUE TO PROVIDE YOU WITH INFORMATION AND HUMOR…AND BOTH LIVE EVENTS & VIRTUAL!

Opening Day- Fans Return to MLB-Major League Baseball

Frigid temps couldn’t stop the fans’ joy today! Opening day marked the return of fans to ballparks across the country after they were shut out last season because of the coronavirus pandemic. Fans at the live baseball games were heard saying, “It’s the best place on earth to be today.’ No matter that it was 36 degrees, the Chicago Cubs hosted Pittsburgh. These openers were all about crowds at Wrigley and Yankee Stadium, in snowy Detroit as they played Cleveland, in 37 degrees and occasional snow flurries at Cincinnati’s Great American Ball Park, one of the coldest opening days in the club’s history, and at Milwaukee’s American Family Field for the Twins-Brewers matchup. Limited capacities will be the norm everywhere but Texas, which was allowed to fill 100% of Globe Life Field. Tampa Bay Rays manager Kevin Cash enjoyed the atmosphere in Miami after the Marlins had about 7,000 in the crowd during Tampa Bay’s 1-0 win. There were actual real fans everywhere, none of the piped-in crowd noise from last year. In the Bronx, where the game time temperature for the Yankees’ game against the Blue Jays was 43 degrees, some fans entered the stadium with navy Yankees blankets that were still wrapped in plastic. In Seattle, fans will be allowed back at a professional sporting event in the state of Washington for the first time since March 7, 2020, when the Seattle Sounders played the Columbus Crew in an MLS match. The Mariners, Sounders and Seattle Seahawks completed the 2020 seasons without fans in attendance. The Mariners were permitted 9,000 fans at T-Mobile Park for the start of the season and quickly sold out the opening series with San Francisco. The team hopes as vaccination rollout continues there will be increases in allowed attendance numbers.“Without fans, we don’t have a game. It’s super important to our country to have fans be back in the stands to be able to buy tickets and hot dogs and cheer on their team,” Colorado outfielder Charlie Blackmon said Wednesday. “That’s the essence of baseball. ”

Celebrate Your Covid-19 Vaccination With a Free Doughnut From Krispy Kreme Get the shot, then get the doughnut. Millions of Americans have now received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, with millions more becoming eligible by the day. Indeed, it seems there is a light at the end of this pandemic tunnel, and Krispy Kreme is here to celebrate it. On Monday, the doughnut shop announced it is offering “sweet support” by giving away free doughnuts to vaccinated people around the nation. Customers who show a valid COVID-19 vaccination card at any Krispy Kreme shop in the U.S. can receive a free Original Glazed doughnut. Krispy Kreme also will support health care workers and volunteers who are helping administer vaccines by delivering free doughnuts to select vaccination centers throughout the country. And that’s not all. The doughnut shop is also supporting its own staffers by offering up to four hours of paid time off to help encourage and enable staff to get their COVID-19 vaccinations. Not enough for you?
