July 4-City Of Pompano Beach Will Have Live Fireworks

The fireworks will commence at 9pm from “an undisclosed central location in the city. For those who can’t see the fireworks from their homes they can be viewed online at www.PompanoBeachFL.gov or Comcast channel 78. The location is  being kept a secret to prevent thousands of people from congregating near it and increasing the number of Covid-19 cases.

 

July 4- City of Ft. Lauderdale Will Have Live Fireworks

The City of Fort Lauderdale will hold 4 small fireworks shows all at 9pm at the following locations:

Holiday Park, U.S. 1 and Sunrise Boulevard; 9 p.m. for 18 minutes

City Hall, Andrews Avenue and NE First Street; 9 p.m. for 18 minutes

Carter Park, Sunrise Boulevard and NW 16th Avenue; 9 p.m. for 18 minutes

Beach Community Center, A1A and Oakland Park Boulevard; 9 p.m. for 10 minutes

Even though these are public venues, they will be shut down during the fireworks shows and only visible to people at surrounding businesses, local homes and high rise condos.

 

July 4-North Lauderdale Will Have Live Fireworks

North Lauderdale City Hall, 701 SW 71st Ave; 9 p.m.

Broward County Library, 6901 Kimberly Blvd; 9 p.m.

Riverside Plaza, 957 SW 71st Ave; 9 p.m.

Carl Fusco Park, 800 Rock Island Road; 9 p.m.

Boys and Girls Club, SW 73rd Ave and Kimberly Blvd; 9 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to watch the 18-minute show from their homes or from their vehicle at one of the five locations. The fireworks will be launched from the North Lauderdale Sports Complex, but the facility will be closed to the public.

 

July 4-City of Deerfield Beach Reported No Fireworks

Deerfield reported that no fireworks are allowed on the beach, street or any public property. This rule will be strictly enforced by BSO. Visit dfb.city/4thofJuly for virtual events.

 

July 4- City of Margate- Parade & Fireworks

Beginning at 10 A.M., festively decorated City vehicles will travel through Margate neighborhoods in celebration of Independence Day. The City encourages everyone to practice social distancing while cheering and waving flags as the parade passes by. Later in the evening, the City will host a modified version of its 4th of July Fireworks Display. The 10-minute show will begin at 9 p.m. at the Margate Sports Complex, 1695 Banks Road. The park will be closed to the public, however the show will be viewable from your vehicle parked on Banks Road. The Sports Complex will be closed to the public. July 4 to July 31-Playwrights:  Pitch Your Own Play

Delray Playhouse’s Playhouse Playwrights’ Project is now extending submissions for its second year of staged readings of new plays. Local playwrights (Palm Beach and Broward County residents) are asked to submit an unpublished, one-act play for consideration by the Playhouse’s play reading committee. Deadline for submissions is now extended to July 31. Auditions will be held in August, rehearsals will be held over the summer, and the performance weekend is September 12 and 13.
