Gabe Stillman & The Billtown Giants are known for their dynamic performances that showcase the band’s musical prowess and depth of passion for playing the blues. Formed in 2015 by Berklee College of Music graduate and Uptown Music Collective (a nonprofit school of music based in Williamsport, Pa) alumni Gabe Stillman, the trio has quickly risen on the Pennsylvania regional scene and continues gaining momentum and far-reaching accolades as a result of performances at the Lancaster Roots & Blues Festival, the Destination Blues Fest, the Billtown Blues Festival and more. In the short time that Stillman has been performing professionally he has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with world class blues acts such as Chicago powerhouse Toronzo Cannon and Legendary blues and roots band The Nighthawks. Regionally, The Billtown Giants regularly play to standing-room-only crowds of appreciative blues fans. Fronted by Stillman on guitar and vocals, the band also features Colin Beatty (Bass) and Joel B. Vincent (Drums). While the trio’s sound is unmistakably rooted in American Blues, the band draws from influences of soul, R&B, and funk. Gabe Stillman and the Billtown Giants’ mission for every performance is to give their all, give their best, and engage those who gave of their time and money to experience the band for an evening of entertainment.
Stillman and the band are excited to be making their first appearance in southern Florida Blues scene. “Gabe is a bona fide ‘old soul’ with the blues guitar,” says President and CEO of Old School Square, Rob Steele. “He cares more about the authenticity and tenacity of the music he plays, than he does about his next breath. The speed and spirit of his musicianship is worth the ticket.”
