January 21 to 31-South Florida Fair
Located at 9067 Southern Blvd., the South Florida fairgrounds and the Expo Center- The staff and CEO, Vicki Chouris made sure that the show will still go on, especially following the CDC guidelines but scaled back (everything will be the same except that only kiddie rides will be available.) There will be sanitation stations throughout the grounds. “It’s Palm Beach’s largest event, it’s been around since 1912,” Chouris said. Masks are required at all times by everyone within the park, hand sanitizer stations will be spread out, the shows will be shorter and more frequent, the air conditioning will be improved in the Expo Center, touch-less doors, and a renovated site layout which will accommodate the social distancing between rides and visitors. The highlights of this year fair will include the sea lion show, the infamous racing pigs and ice skating show, and other fun shows to be announced as the fair approaches. The prices for this year’s One-Day tickets will be a little different. Monday through Friday tickets will be on sale for $10 at the gate and Saturday and Sunday at the gate they will be $15, which is $5 less than last year’s weekend price. Ages 10 and under are free. January 21- “Clematis By Night”- Temporarily Suspended Due to Covid-19
Due to a recent increase in the weekly COVID-19 positivity average, an anticipated post-holiday surge, and a slower than expected rollout of COVID-19 vaccine, the City of West Palm Beach is suspending all existing permits for events occurring through January 24, 2021. This will include events produced by the city, such as the West Palm Beach GreenMarket, Clematis by Night, Sunday on the Waterfront and any private or public property permit issued or pending. The City will continue to monitor the situation and modify or extend the suspension as needed.
