The play features iconic songs such as “Sunrise, Sunset,” “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” and the beloved “If I Were a Rich Man.” This beautiful musical, based on Sholom Aleichem’s “Tevye and his Daughters,” embodies a man’s need for love, freedom, family and of course, “TRADITION!” The story is set in the small Russian village of Anatevka, home to Tevye, a Jewish husband and father striving to uphold his family’s religious and cultural traditions, and his daughters.     Join Guest Teaching Artist Jerilyn Brown to create the essence of a landscape. Working from photographs participants will apply color loosely, mixing dots and dashes, to juxtapose small color areas and contrasting color opposites while creating an illusion of movement and spontaneity in their oil pastel “impressionistic” landscape.
