Powerhouse Cast Takes the Stage at The Wick Theater in Fan Favorite Pick

Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice’s astonishing hit; the story of Eva Peron’s life and loves and her climb to power from a life of poverty. The Wick Theatre in Boca Raton is proud to present their fan favorite pick of the year, Evita. The production features Broadway star Sean McDermott and American’s Got Talent sensation Daniella Mass in the iconic musical. The astonishing Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice mega-hit won multiple Tony Awards including Best Musical 1980 and Best Revival 2012. Daniella Mass performed at The Wick with Nestor Torres a couple of seasons ago. She has sung with legends like Jose Carreras and Andrea Boccelli, with a soaring Coloratura Soprano that has garnered her a world-wide fan base. Broadway star Sean McDermott plays Juan Peron who performed at The Wick as the Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance. His dazzling Broadway career includes lead roles in Miss Saigon, Falsettos, Chicago, Grease and more. Kimberly Wick is designing the set and Marilynn Wick and her team are creating the costumes. Evita charts the young and ambitious Eva Peron’s meteoric rise to power. Set in Argentina between 1934-1952, the musical follows Eva Duarte on her journey from poor illegitimate child to ambitious actress to, as wife of military leader-turned-president Juan Peron, the most powerful woman in Latin America, before her death from cancer at age 33. Sunday Brunch at Craft in Palm Beach-American Craft Aleworks launched Sunday “Prohibition” Brunch-Since opening on May 16, American Craft Aleworks has been attracting a disparate group of craft beer aficionados, Prohibition Era cocktail culturists, and upscale bar grub enthusiasts to its sun-dappled, 7,000-square-foot digs at the fore-eastern end of Clematis Street. Now the buzzy gastropub has something else on tap: Sunday brunch. In addition to in-house brewed beers and Jazz Age-inspired drinks like “Bathtub Gin” and “The Name’s Buck,” a fizzy iteration of the buck, or mule, which incorporates Hefeweizen, lime juice, and ginger syrup. Guests can also imbibe breakfast shots ($6-7), along with $17 bottomless mimosas and Monkey In Paradise Bloodies shaken with the bar’s secret tomato base mixture.
