December 14- Timeless Tidings Holiday Concert-  Pompano Beach Cultural Center

This seasonal showcase at Pompano Beach Cultural Center will feature award-winning artists celebrating decades of festive music, with a modern twist. Experience the magic of the season as featured vocalist Ebony Carlson and friends take the stage to perform a sparkling selection of holiday songs. Carlson, who has headlined the BB King All Star Band, brings her soulful, jazzy interpretations to this night of nostalgic memories.

Performing since her childhood, Ebony Carlson most notably has headlined as the leading female vocalist for the BB King’s Allstar band. Ebony recently performed as a guest vocalist with Michael Andrews and Swingerhead at Orlando Shakes Theatre where she received standing ovations for three different shows with packed houses. She is best described as a mesmerizing mixture of Broadway and soul that crosses over to all audiences.

Music director, producer, and drummer Colin Robinson has arranged and designed this musical journey sprinkled with musical nostalgia spanning the decades. The concert will take you back to hear your childhood favorites and then spring forward to party with present-day pop hits. When Colin is not performing onstage, he’s producing music, and is also an acting music director for multiple national acts. Colin has been playing since he was 14 years old, and professionally since he was 18. His first instrument was guitar, and he later studied piano, but drumming is where Colin truly came into his own, landing him an 18-year gig with the iconic Blue Man Group.

Shannon Robinson is a performer, vocalist, and co-producer for Timeless Tidings. Shannon has been managing, creating, and producing in the music industry for 25 years. She wrote, recorded and self-published her first original work as a young woman. She sang and performed for Classic Albums Live for 18 years and now sings for Floyd Nation. Effervescent Musical Comedy Features All-Star Cast

The Wick Theatre is hopping back to the 1950s with the high-energy musical Bye Bye Birdie. The winner of four Tony Awards, including Best Musical, is a nostalgic trip featuring catchy songs, energetic dance numbers, and an all-star cast that exudes charisma. The show runs until December 24, 2023, with evening shows on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm, and matinees on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm. Based upon the real-life media madness which ensued following Elvis Presley’s 1957 army draft letter, the Tony Award-winning Bye Bye Birdie features fictional teen heart-throb Conrad Birdie, who’s soon to be shipped off. But before Uncle Sam gets him, one lucky girl, Kim McAfee, wins a farewell kiss from Conrad on the Ed Sullivan Show. Comical drama follows when Conrad and his entourage visit Kim’s hometown, much to the chagrin of her father and jealous boyfriend. Portraying Conrad Birdie is our own Elvis doppelganger Cole, who had fans swooning during The Wick’s production of Million Dollar Quartet. Broadway star Jeremy Benton returns to our stage after a captivating run in Anything Goes, this time as Birdie’s manager Albert. And fellow Anything Goes alum, Alexandra Van Hasselt brings her stunning voice to the pivotal role of Kim. Leah Sessa who’s dazzled in numerous Wick productions brings her talent to the role of Rosie, Albert’s secretary. And Lourelene Snedeker, star of The Wick’s very first production, The Sound of Music, brings her inimitable style to the role of Mae Peterson and Dalia Aleman, another Wick favorite returns as Mrs. McAfee Making their Wick debuts are Ben Sandomir as Mr. McAfee and Noah Weiss as Randolph McAfee. The epic musical also features an extraordinary ensemble and is directed by the legendary Norb Joerder, with musical direction by the award-winning Bobby Peaco, who returns after last year’s triumphant Cinderella, and choreography is by the multitalented Cat Pagano.

December 14 to 17-Clematis Street Interactive Waterworks Show at Centennial Fountain

8pm to 10pm-Centennial Fountain comes to life with lights and music in an interactive dancing fountain waterworks show. Beautiful new dancing fountain feature at 150 N. Clematis Street, West Palm Beach. Shows are Thursdays–Sundays, 8–10 p.m. with three shows per hour; The fountain has been decked out with a state-of-the-art operating system giving water the power to dance to music and 109 LED lights with 16.7 million colors. Interactive play is not allowed during special programming. Visitors must remain behind the ropes when viewing shows.
